Company Summary: Gill Grilling has provided meal plans to fraternities and sororities for two decades. These clients hire us to provide daily meal service on-site in their chapter houses. Chefs assigned to these locations cook meals every day for the members of a fraternity or sorority, adapting the menu to the preferences of these members. Position Description: As the Campus Manager you will be in charge of the day-to-day operations and oversight of all Fraternity/Sorority kitchen(s) at your University. The Campus Manager is the direct supervisor of all employees who work on a campus. The duties are similar to what a General Manager does as you will have full responsibility for customer satisfaction and success of the operation. This campus is a multi-unit operation, and you will not have any assigned cooking shifts, but may fill in for chefs as needed.

Success in your role will be achieved by attention to detail, ability to adapt your management style to different personalities, culinary experience, and ability to cultivate relationships with customers and team members. Our biggest operational priorities are to strengthen personal relationships with customers, reinforce safe operating procedures, and ensure an efficient ordering process. The best candidates are eager to succeed, communicate quickly, are attentive to detail, and have culinary management experience.

Reports To: Regional Director, Vice President of Operations

Tasks and Duties:
-ensuring customer satisfaction through implementation of their feedback and thorough follow-through on their requests
-accountability for food and labor budgets
-processes for food ordering and inventory control
-staff oversight, coaching, and development
-meet with vendors
-on a daily basis communicate with chefs to make sure they have all needed resources
-continuous meetings with customers
-cooking either regularly or on a fill-in basis

Knowledge and Skills Required:
-general knowledge of Universities, Fraternities, and Sororities
-general technology skills, including Gmail/Google Suite of products
-ability to provide good customer and personal service, including developing a rapport with clientele, attention to detail, and follow up
-self-motivated
-experience with cooking, kitchen management, food ordering, and managing people
-experience managing multiple units
-experience with ‘repeat customer service’ such as country clubs
-high degree of professionalism in working with clientele

Travel Requirements: rare / none.

Qualifications:
Have 5+ years of high-volume culinary management experience
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of business operations and financials
Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling and planning
Ensure you and your staff adhere to safety practices and sanitation standards
Be ServSafe certified or able to get certification
Perform calmly and effectively
Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
Understand ordering systems and inventory control
Coach, lead and develop team
Drive continuous improvement
