Position Overview:
As an Assistant Chef, your primary responsibility is to support the Kitchen Manager in executing daily food preparation and kitchen management tasks. This includes food prep, cooking, cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining a well-organized kitchen.
Reports To:
Kitchen Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food prep and cooking, ensuring meals meet the needs of the clients.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including dishwashing and sanitizing.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure client satisfaction and smooth kitchen operations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- General knowledge of universities, fraternities, and sororities.
- Basic technology skills, including checking email and using smartphone apps.
- Strong customer service skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients, pay attention to detail, and follow up as needed.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- A high level of professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal to none.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of relevant culinary experience.
- Ability to perform calmly and effectively under pressure.
- ServSafe certification is not required but may be beneficial.
