Christian Smith is from Upper Marlboro in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and attended Frederick Douglass High School. Before beginning his culinary career, Christian worked as a professional drummer, performing with indie rock bands.

Outside the kitchen, Christian continues to enjoy playing and writing music. His creative background and experience collaborating with other musicians bring a unique combination of creativity, discipline, and teamwork to his work as a chef.
