The chefs that work at Gill Grilling really are the face of the company. As a company we realize this, and our philosophy is to hire the best chefs we can find, and equip them with the resources they need to succeed.
This job is different from most other jobs in the food service industry. You will probably be the only person in your kitchen, which means you have the freedom to express your talents and find ways to improve the customer experience. You’ll have off most nights, weekends, and holidays, and the workweek is rarely longer than 45 hours. To make you even happier, your salary includes paid off days and we provide a 401k program with guaranteed company match as well as a partially paid health insurance program.
When considering employment with Gill Grilling, please be aware that we are largely a seasonal employer. In most cases we work (and you get paid) during a 34-week portion of the year that is very similar to a teacher’s schedule. We want to make sure you are comfortable with a seasonal schedule and have a good understanding of how our schedule would fit with your lifestyle and career goals.
Working at a Fraternity or Sorority House means running your own mini-restaurant, complete with commercial refrigeration and appliances. We invite you to take a virtual tour of what a Fraternity & Sorority House kitchen looks like.
Finding the right chefs is so important to us that we hire year round—whether or not we have a position open. Below you’ll see a list of job openings, and we encourage you to learn about Gill Grilling and submit a resume, even if we’re not hiring in your area or you’re not quite ready to make a career change. Whether it’s with our customers or our employees, this company values long-term relationships and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible with the whole process.
